Welcome to Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123!
Dear District 123 Families:
As we embark on this new school year, we are excited about the limitless opportunities we have to better serve our students and pursue excellence in the field of education. We encourage everyone to embrace our school district mission statement of “learning today, for a successful tomorrow.” We believe in this aim and are committed to living it each day together with students and families in order to secure a “successful tomorrow” for each of our children.
We greatly anticipate working together with all stakeholders to carry out our mission and the goals of our School District 123 Strategic Plan, which guides us to improve achievement, maintain open two-way communication, utilize resources responsibly, and expand partnerships. As we build on our strategic direction, we will strive to be an educational system that encourages innovation, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration through rigorous curriculum and quality instruction. These ideals coupled with upholding a positive school district culture centered on serving our community will provide us an excellent direction in doing whatever it takes to foster success for our students.
As we begin the new school year we will continue to strengthen our approach to literacy, mathematics, and STEM instruction, as well as provide each student access to one-to-one technology and a well-rounded educational experience. We expect to empower our learning community by fully utilizing Google Classroom, a blended learning platform that aims to simplify the process of creating, editing, and providing feedback of school work in one place for students, teachers, and families to share together.
We look forward to working with you and hope that you share our enthusiasm as we begin the new school year. If you have questions or concerns please feel free to contact our school district office or any of our schools. Our door is always open and we look forward to meeting you. We know that by working together we can make this a rewarding school year!
See you in school!
Paul J. Enderle, Ed.D.
